DeWind is the developer of the Deep One-Pass Trenching Technology. DeWind is focused on engineering, building and operating the largest most capable One-Pass Trenchers in the world! DeWind Deep Trenchers are uniquely developed for various underground installations in non-consolidated soils and semi-solid soils. DeWind’s Deep Chain Type Trenchers have been ingeniously engineered to install various types of systems deeper, faster, safer, and at less cost then most conventional alternatives. The newest One-Pass Trencher, the “MT 3500″  (monster trencher with 3,500 horse power) can reach depths of 125′ feet below grade for “Mix In Place” Soil Bentonite Walls, and Soil Cement Bentonite Wall installations.   Environmental Remediation & Construction Services DeWind offers a number of Environmental Construction Services related to the clean up, remediation, and improvement of the underground environment. The DeWind Team is Hazmat trained and our proprietary technologies help us avoid the dangers of open pit excavation while reducing or eliminating hazardous job site spoils. We are passionate about what we do and even though it was not our initial intention; we are happy that our business developed into a service that helps the environment.       In the 30 years DeWind has been in the construction business they have developed an impressive list of services. Their Proprietary machinery and methodology has been fine tuned over decades, and their One-Pass Technology gives them unmatched precision, speed, safety and depth capabilities. All installations are executed under the static water table in a single pass, eliminating the need for dewatering and remediating of contaminated water. The One-Pass narrow trench cuts for environmental installations eliminate the handling and disposal of tons of extra-contaminated soils and the surgical technique allows for very deep collection, containment or remediation systems to be installed on tight, active and congested sites.

Who Is Dewind One-Pass Trenching?

Dewind One-Pass Trenching is a family owned and operated business that started in the 1980’s as DeWind Dewatering. In 1990 Greg DeWind built his first trencher for installing dewatering sock pipe. Over time Greg adapted his trenchers to the Environmental Industry focusing on developing techniques and attachments for installing groundwater collection, containment and remediation systems “deep” in highly contaminated soils. Developing One-Pass technology to perform complicated, deep system installations in a single pass, under contaminated soils with high water tables was challenging. Experience led to adaptations to each new One-Pass Trencher and DeWind Deep One-Pass Trencher Technology was born.

How is One Pass Trenching Different from Conventional Excavations?

Simply put, One-Pass Trenching avoids the all the risky, complex and costly construction activities associated with conventional Deep Excavations. One-Pass installations are constructed under ground, under the water table in highly fluid soil, with no open trenches, no dewatering, no shoreing/sheeting no pumping/treating, no mass excavations.

What sets DeWind apart from other Trenching Companies?

DeWind Trenching is the developer of the Deep One-Pass Trenching Technology. DeWind engineers, builds, and operates their own Deep Trenchers that are used for a wide variety of complex jobs. DeWind’s extensive field experience over the years has taught them what it takes to go deep in a single pass. This knowledge has been incorporated into the controls and technology of their sophisticated trenchers. If there is a problem on site, DeWind knows what to do and how to solve the problem fast and efficiently. Other trenching companies use Farm Drainage or Rock Trenchers that are modified to perform beyond their capacity… and they simply cannot perform deep One-Pass system installations in non-consolidated soils. Because DeWind does not sell their custom manufactured trenchers, DeWind is the only choice for Deep One-Pass success.

After pricing a conventional installation with construction estimates reaching near several million, we decided to call DeWind One-Pass Trenching and discovered that DeWind’s exclusive Trenching Technology could install the vertical wells, the horizontal slotted pipe and the stone backfill 40′ deep in a single pass under the contaminated water table with a considerable reduction in spoils remediation.”
